Hi!

If you’ve stumbled onto this post, you probably have a few questions. Here’s a quick overview of what this newsletter is all about and what to expect from it:

What is Wild Call?
Wild Call is a roundup of jobs, freelance roles, pitch calls, grants, fellowships, awards and resources for people working in climate, conservation, environment and sustainability. The opportunities included in each issue are focused on communications, storytelling and creative work in these fields.

Every two weeks (for now), I’ll be sharing leads I think would be useful to this community. While these won’t be geographically restricted, I’ll try to prioritize opportunities that are open globally and accessible to people living and working in the Global South.

Who is it for?
Writers, designers, illustrators, photographers, filmmakers, communication specialists, journalists, data visualizers — “storytellers” of all kinds who are looking for their next (or first!) gig in these fields.

What will each issue look like?
Every two weeks, subscribers will receive a curated list of opportunities in their inbox. I am not aiming to include every single opportunity out there, but as many solid and relevant leads as I can find. I will also be sharing events, resources and other useful finds along the way.

If you know of an opportunity that fits the bill, please send it my way using this form. It might just help someone find the right opportunity for them.

Since there is so much exciting work out there already—and because a little shot of inspiration is always a good thing—each issue will end with a project/resource/piece of work that I’ve found myself coming back to or recommending to others.

If you have more questions, feedback or would just like to say Hi, get in touch with me at [email protected]. I’d love to hear from you!
